The
ending of Dead or Alive 5 Last Round tells us, that the half sisters,
Ayane and Kasumi leaving each other as allies. Will there be a “Happy
End” in the future?
The
Dead or Alive series was supposed to get a “side-title” - Dead
or Alive Code Cronus, which should explain the story of these
two. Because some circumstances, the game was never in production -
but...
…back
in 2014, the current producer Yosuke Hayashi did let us know, that
Tecmo's Team Ninja is working hard on a sequel – Dead or Alive 6.
We don't know anything about it to date – the only detail we have
right now is, that the Team is trying to squeeze out the whole power,
the consoles will have then.
Beside
that, what is the franchise really missing? We do have tons of
stages, characters and an awesome gameplay. What could they add, that
is currently not here? That's right – a new story part. I'm sure,
the story of DOA6 will be bigger and better than ever. It could
easily explain everything we did miss in the past + the new
characters like Marie Rose, Rig, Nyotengu, Honoka, Mila and Phase 4
could even shine more. The addition of the Ninja Gaiden characters –
Rachel and Momiji could take a bigger part in the story mode, if they
will be in the next game.
What
is your biggest wish for the next DOA game?
It
will take a while, until DOA6 will be announced. Team Ninja is
currently working on Nioh, Dead or Alive 3 Extreme Beach Volleyball,
Ninja Gaiden 4 and also on Dissidia 3: Final Fantasy, so for DOA6 is
not too much space right now.
Let me just say this – keep an eye on
the social media accounts of Team Ninja. This year is the DOA 20th
Anniversary, maybe, they have something really surprising for us.
We
will check it out.
